Nakusp

Fine Art In The West Kootenays

Studio Connexion is a Fine Arts Gallery in the heart of Nakusp, showcasing local talent and other artists from across Canada. Originally a boutique selling antique reproduction furniture, Studio Connexion evolved into a Fine Art Gallery which hosts a number of art exhibitions each year. It is a cultural space promoting visual art in the Arrow Lakes region and the West Kootenays.

New Denver

The Hidden Garden Gallery was founded in 2000 to serve the community of New Denver, B.C. and the West Kootenays. The gallery is a small multi-use arts venue, hosting 10 week-long art shows each summer and Friday night Film Club gatherings fall through spring. The gallery is wheelchair accessible. In the summer, the barn doors open wide to create a spacious setting that invites visitors to discover colourful art in various mediums.

Slocan Park

Still Point Pottery is a thrown and hand-built pottery that is both functional and beautiful. The high-fired pieces are kitchen and food safe to create artwork that will last for a lifetime and beyond.

Passmore

Open by appointment, the studio/gallery hosts the works of artist Frantisek Strouhal admired for his flawless use of traditional 19th-century techniques combined with unique contemporary yet timeless artistic vision.

Once the town’s school, the gallery is used for art exhibits, music, dance classes and open stage performances. Here you can also find the Interpretive Centre and the Outdoor Mining Museum.
