What is Arrow Slocan Tourism?

Arrow Slocan Tourism is the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the Arrow Slocan region. 
A Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) is a collaborative marketing powerhouse for our region. Instead of each hotel, restaurant, or tour operator marketing individually with limited budgets, a DMO pools resources from local businesses, government, and community stakeholders to promote our area as a unified brand. We create economies of scale by developing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing our destination’s online presence, coordinating with travel media, and representing our region in ways that individual businesses couldn’t do themselves. 

For destinations like ours, a strong DMO is particularly valuable because it helps level the playing field against larger, better-funded destinations. It ensures that our destination appears in travel guides and booking platforms, builds relationships with travel media, and gathers visitor data that helps all local businesses make informed decisions. Essentially, a DMO amplifies every local business’ marketing efforts by speaking with one strong, coordinated voice.
